Electrical Engineer
Pay Rate: $130,000/year
Summary:
The primary function of this position is to support the electrical engineering efforts of the company. Under the supervision of the Sr. Electrical Engineer, this person is responsible the electrical engineering throughout all phases of a project.
Management Duties:
1. Work with the design team to ensure that established project deadlines and budgets are met.
2. Ensure a high quality of work and make sure all direction has been followed and coordinated throughout the project documents.
Primary Duties:
1. Maintain a NCEES Record and electrical Professional Engineering registrations in the states where we do business, currently MA, NH, CT, and RI.
2. Conceptualize, design, and oversee construction of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, communications, security and fire alarm systems.
3. Create detailed Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications.
4. Perform load calculations. We use Bentley Systems EasyPower.
5. Develop construction cost estimates.
6. Coordinate design with other disciplines including architectural and civil, plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection engineers.
7. Working with the Project Manager to provide construction administration services for the electrical work
Secondary Duties:
1. Working with the Sr. Electrical Engineer and drafters to update and maintain the electrical CAD detail library.
2. Coordinate with the Office Manager and Sr. Electrical Engineer to ensure that Organization has the latest design resources, such as codes, reference materials and codes.
