Executive Culinary Director

Pay Rate: $95,000-$105,000/year
Position Summary:
The Executive Culinary Director is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations within the organization. This role combines creative culinary leadership, strategic planning, and operational management to deliver exceptional dining experiences that align with the organization’s standards and goals. The ideal candidate is a visionary with a passion for innovation and excellence in food service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a cohesive culinary vision across all operations.
- Lead menu planning, innovation, and development to ensure offerings are dynamic, appealing, and aligned with customer preferences and brand identity.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste, ensuring consistency across locations.
Operational Management:
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all facilities.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships to source quality ingredients while optimizing costs.
Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor culinary staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen management teams, ensuring professional growth and performance optimization.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align culinary operations with organizational objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
Guest Experience:
- Partner with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless dining experiences.
- Actively solicit and analyze customer feedback to refine offerings and improve satisfaction.
- Responsibilities to include overseeing our charitable donation program in regards to food donations. Must live our Do Good Mantra.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Skills and Competencies:
- Expertise in menu development, culinary techniques, and food presentation.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in food safety regulations and kitchen operations management.
Work Environment:
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
