Credit Analyst II

Pay Range: $69,600-$115,000/year
About the Role:
Join a collaborative investment team supporting the management of credit portfolios across both general account and fund platforms. This role blends market research, sector analysis, and trade support, with a strong emphasis on fixed income strategy. You’ll work alongside senior investment professionals, contributing to credit reviews, investment recommendations, and the execution of transactions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on issuers within your assigned sectors
Maintain up-to-date research and surveillance on holdings, including watchlist credits
Build and refine financial models to assess risk, valuation, and relative value opportunities
Collaborate with traders and PMs to identify and vet potential opportunities across various fixed income asset classes
Prepare clear, concise internal credit memos and updates for the broader investment team
Develop industry knowledge and contribute regular sector outlooks or updates
Provide occasional support on transactions in adjacent asset classes, including short-term instruments
Participate in aligning fund portfolios with benchmarks and internal strategy
Support the execution of trades when needed, particularly in money markets and credit instruments
Complete special projects at the request of the investment leadership
What You Bring:
Solid understanding of credit analysis, fixed income securities, and capital markets
Comfortable evaluating financial statements and building detailed models
Familiarity with market tools like Bloomberg and electronic trading platforms
Highly organized, intellectually curious, and able to manage tasks with moderate oversight
Skilled in synthesizing research, presenting clear investment theses, and making value-driven recommendations
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field required
3+ years of experience in credit research or investment analysis preferred
Progress toward an MBA or CFA designation strongly encouraged
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
