Test Technician

Pay Range: $27.00-$30.25/hour
Job Description:
Provide Production test functions during the production phase of the program
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs operational tests on a wide variety of moderately complex production components, subassemblies and systems using data sheets, schematics, wiring diagrams, established test specifications and standard test procedures, which clearly outline procedures to be followed
- Demonstrates an extensive understanding of test equipment, subassemblies, and components related to electronics and fundamental electrical principles
- Sets up and operates in accordance with prescribed procedures a variety of test stands consisting of multiples of standard test equipment such as pulse generators, amplifiers, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, counters, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers etc
- Works with engineering instructions and standard test procedures to operationally test developmental products as required. • Interprets test data and checks results against specifications, test procedures and data sheets to determine proper functioning and test quality of products
Required Qualifications:
Requires a High School or Trade School diploma or its equivalent and a basic knowledge of electronic technology acquired through advanced study of up to two (2) years
- Must have experience with Test equipment related to electronics, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Test Stand experience working on amplifiers, spectrums analyzers, voltmeters.
- Standard test procedures to operationally test development products.
- Deviates from standard test procedures as required to troubleshoot, locate and diagnose malfunctions within the unit requiring application of technical knowledge, skill and ingenuity.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
