Job Title: Technological Principal Engineer
Location: Louisville KY
Pay Range: $60-$64.87
Job Description:
The Engineer Technologist Principal will be the leader in machining innovation across the Production Value Stream and will be at the forefront of problem solving and resolution to technical production barriers. They are responsible for ensuring technical compliance to manufacturing processes, Policies, and procedures while providing innovative solutions to our cross-functional teams to improve customer delivery, cost and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic technical direction and guidance on complex projects, influencing technical decisions and ensuring alignment with business goals
- Work with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure seamless integration of machining processes •
- Developing new machining processes, improving existing ones, and creating necessary tooling and Fixtures.
- Identifying and resolving complex technical issues related to machining processes, equipment and product quality
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in a relevant technical discipline, such as engineering or technology
- Proficiency in using Siemens NX software for design and programming of machining operations
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection requirements, and relevant industry standards
- Deep knowledge of various machining processes, equipment, tooling, and materials
- Proficiency of MS Office Suite products (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Defense Contracting Experience
- Ability to program multiple head configurations a plus
- 7+ years in a machining and manufacturing environment
- Capable of programming complex 3, 4, and 5 axis mills, along with multi-axis vertical and horizontal lathe
- Leading the creation of ROMs, BOE and quoting
- Program/Project management (PMP a plus)
