About the Role:

This position sits within a mission-driven financial services organization that provides life insurance, annuities, and related products. The role supports internal teams and policyholders by reviewing, validating, and processing a variety of transactions tied to life insurance policies.

What You’ll Do

• Review and process policy transactions such as surrenders, loans, and dividend requests.
• Research policy details to confirm eligibility and accuracy before completing transactions.
• Enter accounting data using internal policy-administration systems and general ledger tools.
• Calculate taxes when required (U.S. and Canadian), including manual calculations and refunds.
• Respond to customer and agent inquiries via phone and email and draft routine correspondence.
• Maintain accurate financial entries, including credits, debits, and occasional manual check creation.
• Perform additional administrative or operations-related duties as needed.

What You Bring

• Experience working with life insurance or annuity products (3–5 years preferred).
• Familiarity with accounting processes, general ledger entries, and transaction codes.
• Basic understanding of U.S. and Canadian tax considerations tied to insurance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Solid math skills and comfort with manual calculations.
• Ability to work in policy systems and standard office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• High school diploma required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or remain in a stationary position for most of the workday.

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
