- Perform connector selection and integration to support electrical and mechanical system requirements.
- Design and integrate cable and harness assemblies to support system-level functionality and reliability.
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering models, drawings, and product documentation using PTC Creo and Windchill.
- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews to improve product quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues, providing engineering solutions to support production and testing activities.
- Define, coordinate, and support hardware test plans, qualification activities, and product integration efforts.
- Manage bill of materials (BOMs), engineering change documentation, and configuration-controlled design data.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, reliability, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IPC standards, customer requirements, and aerospace/defense industry practices.
- Support product development activities through design reviews, technical presentations, and cross-functional project meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) board layout and mechanical design.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with connector selection, integration, and manufacturing support.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing PTC Creo and Windchill in a product development environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with IPC standards and aerospace/defense product development lifecycles.
- Experience supporting hardware integration, design verification, manufacturing, and test activities.
- Strong understanding of mechanical tolerancing, fit-up analysis, and electronic packaging principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to generate and maintain high-quality engineering documentation and technical data packages.
