Forklift Operator

Job description:

USPRO is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pit Operator to join our warehouse team. This position is primarily responsible for forklift operation and inventory management in a food manufacturing environment with freezer and cooler temperature zones.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), including Reach Trucks and Dock Stockers
• Safely move, store, and retrieve products throughout the warehouse
• Work efficiently in freezer and cooler environments
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory practices
• Accurately track inventory using warehouse management systems and computers
• Maintain inventory accuracy and attention to detail
• Support warehouse operations while following food safety and company procedures
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and shipping goals

Experience

• Previous experience operating Reach Trucks and/or Dock Stockers preferred
• Experience in a food manufacturing, cold storage, or warehouse environment preferred
• Crown equipment experience is a plus, but not required
• Basic computer proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Ability to work in freezer and cooler temperature zones for extended periods
• Team-player mentality with a strong commitment to safety

Schedule & Pay

• Monday – Friday 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM (approximately)
• Occasional Saturdays with advance notice
• $20.62/hr.
