Assistant Project Manager

Pay Range: $53.00-$57.00/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Management Team in the execution of energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable technology projects. This position plays a key role in helping deliver high-quality construction and implementation services for retail, commercial, institutional, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to sustainable project solutions that make a measurable impact.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects focused on energy efficiency and renewable technologies.
- Provide timely and accurate project updates, ensuring effective communication with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Participate in weekly construction meetings at various project sites and contribute to progress reporting.
- Organize and maintain project documentation, including drawings, materials, correspondence, and records.
- Support the preparation and distribution of bid packages, evaluate vendor proposals, and coordinate delivery schedules.
- Assist with project financials, including tracking budgets, reviewing vendor invoices, and supporting client reporting activities.
- Develop and analyze spreadsheets, prepare reports, and participate in project review and strategy meetings.
- Research and present findings related to specifications, contracts, and technical project requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to produce and maintain accurate reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
- Provide onsite administrative and technical support while monitoring vendor and subcontractor performance.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
- Perform additional duties as required to support successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on project experience.
- Ability to review and handle confidential U.S. security information in compliance with company and federal guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale construction projects involving upgrades, retrofits, or renovations for institutional, government, or commercial clients.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, validate, and interpret complex project data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint) and Procore or other project management software.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
