Electronic Technician III

Pay Range: $27.00-$33.00/hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Technician to join our team in a high-tech electrical lab environment. This position plays a vital role in the hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, and repair of advanced micro and nano electronic products and their supporting systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional precision, and a collaborative mindset to support both prototype and production efforts.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform micro/nano-scale electrical and mechanical assembly, testing, rework, and troubleshooting with precision and minimal defects
- Interpret and work from detailed electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
- Use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and automated test equipment to conduct diagnostics and generate reports
- Assist in inspection and quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with applicable standards
- Provide feedback to improve design, test, and fabrication processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively within a team to meet project timelines and technical goals
Required Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in an electronic/electrical technician role within a production or prototype environment
- Proficiency with hand tools, soldering equipment, and precision electrical assembly techniques
- Demonstrated experience using electronic test equipment (scopes, meters, etc.)
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation
- Familiarity with J-STD-001 standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Cirris or other automated test equipment
- Hands-on knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, IPC-610 Class 3, and J-STD-001 standards
- Experience troubleshooting complex electrical/electronic systems
- Ability to communicate process and design feedback effectively to engineering and production teams
