Pay Range: $41.00-$50.00/hour
Job Description:
The EHS Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the implementation and administration of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across assigned projects. This position actively supports organizational safety objectives and is expected to consistently demonstrate the company’s core values and commitment to a strong safety culture.
In this role, the EHS Coordinator conducts and coordinates project audits, assists in the development of site-specific EHS plans, attends and supports project safety meetings, delivers training, and facilitates incident investigations. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to effectively coach, train, and engage employees at all levels on safety and health compliance, policies, and best practices.
Additional responsibilities include conducting air sampling and monitoring, completing permits, and performing related duties as required by project scope and contractual obligations. The EHS Coordinator also contributes to the development and implementation of consistent best practices and policies and reports to senior EHS leadership.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.

- Assists the project team and project leadership with incident investigations, corrective actions, and final reports.
- Be self-directed and conduct independently all required safety and health tasks required by company EHS Policy, the customer’s project requirements and the project Site-Specific EHS Plan.
- Provide EHS related technical support and training to project managers and field employees.
- Evaluate all field safety and health practices, including emergency response procedures, for improvement in effectiveness and compliance.
- Conduct documented audits and inspections of assigned projects, areas, and work tasks.
- Enter all daily, weekly, and special training and audits into online system and customer systems as required.
- Perform more detailed equipment, location, and tool inspections as needed.
- Communicate with other EHS Coordinators and EHS Managers about conditions and concerns about their project.
- Perform Air sampling and monitoring, data logging and basic Industrial Hygiene related tasks.
- Keep accurate records and reporting of expenses and charges associated with performing the assigned work.
- Strong computer aptitude, including fluency with MS Office; PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Required General Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams; above-average emotional intelligence is essential.
- Willingness to work overtime as required by project demands.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (required).
- Demonstrated experience managing EHS programs within industrial, construction, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or similar environments.
- Completion of EHS-related coursework, formal training, or college-level education (degree preferred but not required unless otherwise specified).
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and ability to operate company vehicles to travel to project sites.
Required Education Qualifications (per level:
- EHS Coordinator I: Minimum 2 years of EHS experience supporting safety programs in construction or industrial environments.
- EHS Coordinator II: Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience & OSHA 500 – Authorized Outreach Trainer certification (required).
- EHS Coordinator III: Minimum 7 years of progressive EHS leadership experience, OSHA 500 – Authorized Outreach Trainer certification (required), & CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification (required).
Required Travel Expectations (per level:
- EHS Coordinator I: Willingness and ability to travel overnight occasionally to assigned projects.
- EHS Coordinator II: Willingness and ability to travel overnight and for extended periods to assigned projects.
- EHS Coordinator III: Willingness and ability to travel overnight/out of town for extended periods, often required, with approved home rotations based on project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced OSHA training or instructor-level knowledge related to construction and industrial safety and health topics.
- NFPA 70E certification or formal electrical safety training.
- EM 385-1-1 training or related safety coursework.
- MSHA safety training or experience.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification.
