Environment Release Manager

Pay Range: $85,400 – $140,900/year

Overview
Responsible for the day-to-day support of production and non-production testing cycles and software releases. Works closely with other support teams to assist end-user testing and resolve test environment issues. This includes but is not limited to:
- Supporting all environments for online and batch activities
- Creating deployment packages
- Using in-house and purchased applications to support business initiatives related to software releases
- Developing, communicating, and coordinating deployment planning
- Managing production implementation activities
- Escalating and coordinating service requests with other internal and external support groups
Core Responsibilities
- Adheres to organizational policies, processes, and procedures and proactively seeks opportunities to enhance existing ITIL processes (service requests, incident and problem management, change management, etc.)
- Actively develops and refines process and procedures specific to functional responsibilities and contributes to operational and tactical plans
- Plans and coordinates environment changes and collaborates with application programmers during pre-production development and maintenance of applications
- Assists in managing and supporting technical vendor relations, including vendor identification and selection, contract negotiation, and statement of work (SOW) reviews
- Performs other related duties as assigned, including on-call responsibility for production batch cycles and multiple test regions
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- In-depth knowledge of computing systems typically associated with non-production environments
- Experience with life insurance enterprise products (e.g., Ingenium, Life70, IDM, AWD)
- Enterprise job scheduling: CA Workload Automation ESP Edition
- Database/query tools: AQT, SQL, WebFOCUS, UFT
- Programming/scripting languages: Windows CMD, PowerShell, Python, Java, Go
- Experience with Microsoft products (O365, Office Suite)
Education:
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience and training
- 5–8 years of IT experience including project management supporting non-production environments
Preferred:
- ITIL Foundation certificate and experience
Authorization to work in the United States is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
