Information Governance Manager – Matter Mobility
Boston, MA (Hybrid Work Schedule)
Pay Range: $150K – $180K/year
USPRO is seeking a strategic, JD-preferred Information Governance Manager to lead our Matter Mobility Program, overseeing the intake, transfer, and disposition of client matter data. This role blends legal analysis with operational and technical execution and is ideal for candidates with legal training and hands-on IG, eDiscovery, or intake experience.
What You’ll Do:
Manage matter mobility operations: lateral transitions, file transfers, legal holds, and data disposition
Conduct legal research and provide occasional legal guidance on information governance issues
Collaborate with vendors and developers (e.g., ServiceNow) to improve workflows and system efficiency
Ensure regulatory and ethical compliance related to client data and attorney transitions
Lead a cross-functional team and liaise with departments including IT, Privacy, and InfoSec
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years in Information Governance, Legal Operations, eDiscovery, or Intake
Juris Doctor strongly preferred (active bar a plus)
Experience working with legal tech tools and vendors; familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus
Strong legal research, policy development, and project management skills
Ability to balance hands-on execution with high-level analysis and process improvement
