Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Network Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level network solutions across North America. This is a long-term, high-impact opportunity with a focus on Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance in support of Department of Defense (DoD) requirements. In addition to cybersecurity priorities, the role will support Facilities IT infrastructure for new or expanding manufacturing and testing sites.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical acumen, demonstrated leadership, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust, secure, and scalable network architectures.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of network solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards, roadmaps, and compliance requirements, particularly CMMC.
- Interpret business and technical requirements to guide solution development across all infrastructure domains.
- Produce comprehensive architectural and low-level design documentation to support implementation teams and stakeholders.
- Provide expert consultation on network technologies, tools, and design methodologies, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Oversee and contribute to infrastructure projects, including new site builds, expansions, and advanced test facilities.
- Drive vendor evaluations and manage vendor engagements to ensure alignment with architectural goals and performance standards.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry trends, particularly in the defense and manufacturing sectors.
Required Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Active certification required.
- Proven experience in designing and deploying complex enterprise network infrastructures in a global or defense-related organization.
- Expertise in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS), firewalls, network load balancers (NLB), and FIPS-compliant encryption technologies.
- Experience with architecture and low-level design documentation, particularly in highly regulated or secure environments.
- Strong understanding of CMMC and DoD cybersecurity compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background supporting IT infrastructure in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense industrial base (DIB) environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical stakeholders.
- Strong vendor and contract management experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
