Senior Digital Experience Platform (DXP) Developer
Hybrid – New York Tri State Area
Pay Range: $60-$70/hour
Overview
The Senior DXP Developer will design and develop digital experience solutions across small to large-scale projects. This role involves analysis, development, testing, documentation, and ongoing support of web applications within the organization’s technology ecosystem. The developer will collaborate with UI/UX teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a highly collaborative environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand ups.
- Work independently on user stories and implementation tasks, ensuring timely and high quality delivery.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to support reliable software deployment.
- Investigate and resolve performance issues, technical challenges, and operational problems.
- Create and update technical documentation to maintain clarity and continuity.
- Communicate progress at the task level and report delays or blockers promptly.
- Triage defects and implement fixes to preserve software quality and user satisfaction.
- Provide detailed code walkthroughs to technical leads or system architects.
- Present completed work to stakeholders, demonstrating functionality and alignment with program goals.
Skills & Qualifications
- Expert-level experience with a leading Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
- Strong understanding of DevOps tools, pipelines, and processes.
- Proficiency with Git and standard development workflows.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience customizing DXP/CMS platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft .NET development.
- Experience developing and maintaining unit and integration tests.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to research and implement optimal solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to new environments, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience in software development, implementation, or system modification within online environments — or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- IT service management certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation).
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
