Senior ERP Solutions Engineer
Location: New Have, CT (Hybrid) or Remote
Starting Pay: $138,450/year
Overview:
A seasoned ERP professional is needed to lead development efforts within a dynamic enterprise systems team. This role centers around enhancing, supporting, and evolving ERP platforms in partnership with internal stakeholders and external partners. You’ll focus on delivering technical solutions aligned with business goals—ranging from customizing existing modules to deploying entirely new functionality. This position is deeply involved in every stage of ERP lifecycle management, from architecture through post-deployment support.
What You’ll Tackle:
Lead design and development of ERP enhancements—custom scripts, forms, interfaces, and modules—to support evolving business operations
Collaborate with functional users to streamline processes and identify automation opportunities
Build and evaluate proof-of-concept models to explore new capabilities and drive innovation
Handle the full delivery lifecycle: from requirements gathering and process mapping to configuration, testing, rollout, and ongoing support
Write technical and functional documentation suitable for use by remote or third-party development teams
Define and enforce coding and configuration standards across the ERP environment
Analyze system integration points and ensure compatibility across internal modules and third-party platforms
Provide technical leadership in gap assessments and recommend scalable solutions
Support upgrades, patching, and ongoing system maintenance in coordination with infrastructure and application teams
Triage incoming support issues and enhancement requests, balancing short-term needs with long-term platform strategy
Assist in building business cases and estimating project timelines and resource needs
Skills & Experience You Bring:
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Confident working independently as well as cross-functionally across teams and with leadership
Deep technical understanding of SAP ERP environments, with practical experience across multiple modules:
Core Financials (S/4HANA)
Collections & Disbursements (FSCD)
Profitability & Subledger (FPSL)
Treasury, Budgeting & Reporting (SAP Analytics Cloud)
Identity & Access Control (GRC)
HR & Talent Management (SuccessFactors)
Benefits Administration (Benefit Focus)
Travel & Expense (Concur)
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation and support
Strong development capabilities:
ABAP programming for S/4HANA
FIORI app creation
Interface design (inbound/outbound)
Familiarity with platform infrastructure and ERP security
Working knowledge of SAP RISE and Solution Manager is a plus
Education & Credentials:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar field
Minimum 8 years of technical experience with ERP systems, with at least 8 years specifically in SAP development
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a self-directed mindset
Preferred:
SAP Certifications are a definite plus
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
