Pay Range: $51.00-$64.00/hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team and play a critical role in the design, analysis, and certification of advanced gas turbine systems and enclosures. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, influence product design decisions, and ensure compliance with demanding aerospace and defense standards.

As a key contributor, you will lead enclosure design and analysis efforts, support the integration of electronic and mechanical systems, and provide technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle.

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform component trade studies for new and existing hardware, define and review functional and physical interfaces, and establish enclosure analysis requirements.
• Collaborate with electronics engineering teams to design enclosures that meet both electronic and mechanical requirements, ensuring robust integration.
• Support the creation of detailed drawings, model-based definitions, and work with manufacturing and project teams to procure conforming hardware.
• Lead and participate in Technical and Design Reviews, preparing and delivering technical reports and presentations to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant product certification requirements such as RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Mechanical Engineering preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with gas turbine systems.
• Expertise in mechanical enclosure design and analysis.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX for design and ANSYS for simulation/analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience performing thermal and vibration analyses.
