Pay Range: $51.00-$64.00/hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and certification of safety-critical software for advanced gas turbine control systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical technologies that directly impact aerospace safety and performance, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory authorities.

As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take ownership of software development activities across the lifecycle, from architecture and coding to certification and compliance.

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop safety-critical gas turbine engine control software in compliance with DO-178C objectives.
• Provide software architecture support to enable seamless software-to-software integration and testing, including leveraging product line methodologies.
• Define, refine, and improve development processes and methods to ensure compliance while optimizing team efficiency.
• Establish and maintain continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) frameworks to accelerate software development and delivery.
• Collaborate directly with certification and airworthiness authorities to present methodologies, demonstrate compliance, and resolve audit findings.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, OR
• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with gas turbine control systems.
• Background in developing safety-critical software.
• Expertise in embedded software design.
• Experience designing logic for closed-loop control systems.
