Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Stockroom Associate to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting production by ensuring materials, components, and inventory are accurately received, stored, tracked, and delivered where they are needed.
Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, inspect, and organize incoming materials, parts, and production components.
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials, kits, and parts for manufacturing and stockroom operations according to production schedules.
- Perform stockkeeping transactions and maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems.
- Verify inventory accuracy through cycle counts, part counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Review material plans and ensure timely movement of materials throughout the manufacturing process.
- Complete electronic inventory transactions, product status updates, and required production documentation accurately.
- Safely handle, transport, and store materials while following established material handling and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and material documentation to ensure accurate material handling.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment as needed, including hand jacks, microscopes, soldering irons, tweezers, thermal strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, scalpels, and other assembly-related tools.
- Perform basic troubleshooting related to inventory transactions, material movement, and stockkeeping activities.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and production records while ensuring compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, stockroom, and production teams to resolve material issues and support operational goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing work instructions.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, warehouse operations, stockkeeping, receiving, inventory control, or a related environment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse setting with changing production priorities.
- Experience using computer systems for inventory tracking, data entry, and production transactions.
- Ability to read and understand written work instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous process improvements.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required job certifications and training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within an electronics or precision manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
- Experience supporting inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.
- Prior experience working with ERP or manufacturing inventory systems.
