Job Title: CNC Programmer

Pay Range: $68-80k annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime as required)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trumpf CNC Programmer to support high-precision laser cutting and press brake operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs to ensure efficient production, exceptional quality, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Trumpf equipment, a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, and the ability to collaborate closely with Engineering and Production teams.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Trumpf laser cutting systems and CNC press brakes using both on-machine controls and offline software (TruTops).
- Create, edit, and optimize laser nests and press brake bending programs from blueprints, work orders, and 3D models.
- Set up and operate Trumpf laser and press brake equipment to meet production requirements and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming, setup, and machining issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to support new jobs, design changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Verify program accuracy through first-article inspections and ongoing quality checks.
- Maintain organized program files, documentation, and revision control.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while maintaining a clean and efficient work area.
- Support cross-training and knowledge sharing within the CNC and fabrication teams as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience programming and operating Trumpf laser cutting machines.
- Hands-on experience with Trumpf 2000 and 5000 series press brakes.
- Background in metal fabrication or machine shop environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, nests, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with TruTops offline programming software.
- Familiarity with sheet metal forming, bending allowances, and material behavior.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
