Wafer Fab Manufacturing Operator

USPRO is looking for a capable Wafer Fab Technician/Operator to work with a manufacturing client of ours in the Norfolk County, MA area. This individual will be responsible for assisting in manufacturing (fabricating) silicon wafers according to written specifications.


Employment type:  Temp-to-Hire (will also consider Direct Hire)

Shifts:  Day shift. 4-day work week. Monday – Thursday. 10-hour day(s).

Interviews:  Phone Screen followed by In-Person



  • Operate assigned fab equipment and run production material using process sheets and various pieces of equipment such as photolithography equipment, mask aligner, diffusion furnaces, LPCVD, wet and dry etching equipment, metal evaporation, electroplating, and wafer saw for dicing.
  • Ability to work independently with various ovens, timers, hot plates, spin rinse dryer, and chemicals including, acetone, methanol, propanol, solvents, acids (hf, nitric, sulfuric) strippers, developers, and photo resists in conjunction with various cleaning equipment including but not limited to: laminar flow/acid hoods, handheld solvent sprayer, and ultrasonic cleaner.
  • Inspect and measure circuitry for conformance to pattern specification and defects.
  • Inspect wafer for thickness, specification measurement, using various equipment such as Dektak, Ellipsometer, and drop gauge.
  • Work with process technician and engineer in laboratory and cleanroom environment.
  • Understand and follow safety requirements of the equipment in assigned area of responsibility.



  • High school or equivalent is preferred.
  • Lab or cleanroom experience is also preferred.
  • Able to use small hand tools such as tweezers and wafer wand tweezers.
  • Must be able to read and follow written specifications and procedures in all operations and operate various pieces of equipment simultaneously.
  • Must be computer literate, detail oriented, and a reliable self-starter.
