USPRO is looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer to work with a client of ours in the Manchester, NH area. This individual will perform design reviews commenting on conceptual, preliminary, detailed and IFC design packages.


Employment type:  Contract

Shifts:  1st 



  • Perform as an “Owners Engineer” on project teams for major substation projects.
  • Review engineering design drawings, specifications, calculations, and engineering details to confirm content meets company standards and requirements.
  • Perform design reviews commenting on Conceptual, Preliminary, Detailed, and IFC design packages.
  • Remote work is acceptable but must be available to attend project meetings in office and in the field as needed.
  • Regularly input on Primavera P6 schedules and internal tracking spreadsheets.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of civil engineering experience including:
  • Civil/structural experience and general understanding of structural engineering principles.
  • Site development experience and general understanding of Municipal, State and Federal permitting processes.
  • Construction experience on electrical utility projects and/or working knowledge of construction methods and procedures.
  • Utility Substation experience required
  • Familiarity with electrical utility standards and practices within the service territory.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret NESC, IEEE, Substation Standards, etc.
  • Good communication skills for both written and verbal interactions.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Must have CIP clearance to access drawings.
