USPRO is looking for an Assistant Consultant to work with a client of ours in Greater Hartford, CT area. This individual will support the development, promotion, and implementation of energy efficiency programs to meet established goals.

  • Facilitate weekly meetings, track key performance metrics, and prepare invoices for approval to assist in managing external vendors in the implementation of instant and express rebate style programs.
  • Support the development and implementation of a lighting application portal for streamlined submissions.
  • Deliver on program goals through management of pipeline and accurate reporting of completed work.
  • Coordinate quality assurance activities with on-site inspection and engineering services.
  • Engage with ancillary teams such as evaluation and IT to introduce new measures, fulfil data requests and resolve issues.
  • Consult with customers on opportunities, program guidelines, submission requirements and to resolve concerns.
  • Contribute to department initiatives as a subject matter expert in the areas of a lighting application portal as well as the instant and express rebate programs.


  • Requires basic, fundamental understanding of financial principals and the ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel). Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Requires the skills to interpret energy efficiency technologies and understand their application while working in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities.
  • Customer and accounting deadlines cannot be missed, and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.
  • Displaying emotional resilience and the ability to withstand pressure on an on-going basis is essential.
  • Must be willing to work on a team, seeking support from others when necessary and maintain performance while dealing with demanding situations.
