Overview:

USPRO is looking for a proven Radar Signal Processing Engineer to work with a client of ours in the Lowell, MA area. This individual will design and write simulations for cutting-edge radar signal processing algorithms in MATLAB.

Shifts: Days

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and write simulations for cutting-edge radar signal processing algorithms in Matlab
  • Create presentations and document algorithms for sharing concepts with the team
  • Exhibit a detailed knowledge of radar system fundamentals and waveform processing
  • Contribute to the technical leadership of the organization which includes substantial input to R&D decisions
  • Possess strong fundamentals in radar waveforms, detection link budget analysis, processing and tracking algorithms
  • Implement detection level and/or tracker algorithms using Matlab and/or C
  • Perform analysis on regression data to debug and optimize system detection and/or tracking performance
  • Support software development team for adapting algorithms to operate efficiently on fixed and/or floating-point DSPs
  • Ensure requirement compliance and timeliness for radar platform development efforts
  • Process improvement participation which includes definition and execution of Improvement projects which meet or exceed compliance with overall organizational objectives
  • Compliance with Company Standards and Business Conduct Requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:
Required:

  • BS or MS or PHD in Electrical Engineering plus related work experience in Radar Signal Processing or Digital Signal Processing that targets embedded real–time software system applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication

Desired:

  • C and/or assembly programming of DSPs and micro-controllers.
  • Software development of computationally intensive algorithms for fixed point DSPs.
  • Experience in the Automotive industry a plus
  • Experience with CMMI or ASPICE
  • Configuration management and version control experience
